but it's moderately weird

Well thank god for that!

Update on this project, from Blaylock:

The Templars piece is coming along -- temporarily shelved because of teaching and because of my revising Zeuglodon.  I work on it tomorrow, in fact.  I like the heck out of it, but it's moderately weird, and I don't know whether it's a novel, a novella, or a novelini.  I'll find out in due time, I guess.

So, this book's still under development.

All these enticing snippets of works-in-progress are interesting in their own right, but they remind me of how much I yearn for an actual new published novel from Mr. Blaylock. At the current rate, I almost expect something new from J.D. Salinger to come first. (sigh)

However, these snippets are much appreciated, as they do give me hope that eventually something new, wonderful & full-of-sparkles will "see the light of day" - in the sense of "be published". Yes! Sounds like Blaylock is doing his part - now if the publishers (and book-buying public) will only do their's. Glass-bottled cokes are returning. Good things are possible. (gazes hopefully towards distant horizon).

Ok - now I'm going to go crazy waiting for this book too!  Hmmm - I think I had some soda bottle caps around here somewhere....  Maybe a Whistle Orange on that lapel?

Blaylock is currently working upon a book involving the Knights Templar.  He writes:

My Templars book is coming along slowly now that school is in.  It's set out at the Colorado River in an inaccesible little town called New Cyprus, and it involves certain religious relics.  Fans of the Da Vinci Code won't understand it.  Bruce Sterling once accused me of favoring overweight characters in baggy trousers, and this is certainly that sort of book.  I call it a book, because it's 20K words or so and growing, but it's very much a work in progress and might never see the light of day if I don't get off the email and start working on it.

It sounds hilarious, and interesting -- we'll just have to be patient!
