I would agree with the experts, that the structure looks swordfishy.

When news of a giant, unidentified eyeball on a Florida beach came out, it sounded like a snippet from a Blaylock story!

However, the mystery has apparently been solved as to its origin:

Even so, the pics of the eyeball remain enigmatic, and one imagines the creature they came from as being substantial-sized!
