Black Blob Invades LA from Sewer Manholes

Apparently, a black ooze came up through the sewers and buckled streets and moved an apartment building around on its foundations!

I just saw these news stories, and I have to say they all seem fairly significant:

The authorities are typically trying to hush up the whole thing with some thinly fabricated story about retired oil fields and drilling/pumping activities, but I think those of us who've read Digging Leviathan know that there's probably a much more ominous explanation.

Obviously, some of the contents of the hollow earth are pushing their way up through the crust, much like the La Brea Tar Pits.  The only question is whether this phenomenon is coincidental, or whether it's a sign of something else. Perhaps the nefarious minions of Frosticos have finally gotten their hobbled-together subterranean boring device to pierce the surface. The idiots don't know what they're doing. If they're not careful they'll set off a quake that'll shake up the whole city!

later,
Silver

This could be bad - I hope they figured out how to deal with the matter/anti-matter issues at least!
