Title: Cheese, Cheese, Cheese!
Post by B. Pulley on 21. May 2004 at 15:36

For all of the cheese lovers that visit the forum, here is a site I discovered that boasts over 700 kinds of cheeses to choose from as well as cheese making supplies and a cheese of the month club.

http://www.cheesesupply.com/

The "Humboldt Fog," although too pricey for me, brings with it visions of a warm fire, sitting in overstuffed chairs with the Squire and the Link Men...  Ah, I could go on and on.

B.

Remember the old Jimmy Buffett hit, "Cheeseburger in Paradise"?  Well, at jimmybuffettstuff.com you can buy a cheeseburger hat.

And there's a cheese quiz at funtrivia.com/playquiz/quiz101418b9e8b8.html

One of the questions asks you to identify the source of the quote: "Poets have been mysteriously silent on the subject of cheese."

Whatever the source of that quote, the author was clearly mistaken on the subject of poetry and cheese. See, for example, our cheese poetry thread:

That's a good company; I've actually had the pleasure of ordering from them in the past.

I'd never seen the "Humboldt Fog" before; at first glance I actually thought perhaps it was named after something in  one of JPBs various works.  What a fantastically Blaylockian name!  I wonder if I could convince the local cheeser to buy a wheel and sell it per pound...

It's been a couple of years since the last post, but the site still lives.  Humboldt Fog is still on offer, at a very non-Balumnia price, I suspect.  There's another interestingly named cheese: Beecher's Flagship.  I like that.  Sounds like something the Squire might commandeer.  Or eat.
