Title: And another book---The Ebb Tide
Post by Dave_Garrett on 09. Jul 2008 at 21:55

Howdy!
Today I read at Subterranean Press web site that James Blaylock has written a novella to be published by them!

" This past weekend I had the privilege of reading the first draft of The Ebb Tide, the new 25,000 word Langdon St. Ives steampunk novella by James P. Blaylock. Itís a vintage pleasure, with gas lamps, the mad scientist Narobondo, and subterranean excursions as well. Iíve asked Jim to do a little editorial tinkering, and he plans to expand the novella a little as well. Look for it to appear on our schedule for next year, profusely illustrated by J.K. Potter."

So Steampunk you want, Steampunk we get!

And yet another book, a small collection of three stories written in collaboration with three of his students. It's called Metamorphosis, and will be published by Subterranean:

It's too bad there isn't a cheaper edition, for those who can't afford to collect $30/64p chapbooks...

Subterranean Press sometimes offers 1/2 price sales to their E-mail subscribers. If you aren't on their E-mail list, you need to be.

Ebay is also a good source for cheaper Sub Press books, but you run the risk of missing their better books that sell out before publication like The Adventures of Langdon St. Ives and the Jack Vance tribute, Songs of the Dying Earth, which is absolutely gorgeous in the slipcased leather edition and didn't even make it to Amazon.com in the trade edition.
